On Wednesday the members of the “Three Cups” Friendly Society held their anniversary. After the usual business was over, the members (numbering about 50), headed by the Malmesbury Brass Band in full uniform, and by the banner of the Society, paraded the principal streets of the town; after which they adjourned to the “Three Cups” Inn, where Host and Hostess Exell provided a capital dinner, at which Dr. White (the medical officer of the Society) sat down with the members. After dinner, dancing was kept up in the club room, and a pleasant evening was spent.
